Residential Conveyancing Solicitor, Royston, Herts

A new vacancy has arisen with a firm with offices in Royston, Herts. Looking for the following:

1. Residential Conveyancing Locum

2. Start date ASAP.

3. Length of time: Roughly one month, but could be longer. Could also convert to permanent.

4. Reason for locum: covering until a permanent lawyer appointed.

5. Hours: Full Time.

6. Flexibility: Very. The firm are prepared for someone who has existing bookings to fit these around them. So if you have a week or two booked up in the next month or so this may still be very suitable.

7. Hourly rate: Negotiable.

They are looking for an experienced residential conveyancing locum who is available immediately (for approximately a month) and can handle a heavy caseload of mixed residential conveyancing work. The ideal candidate will be someone with experience of handling a large caseload with minimal assistance. The firm uses a case-management system, which is easy to use, but the candidate should be IT literate and be able to type letters and emails when required. There is some flexibility with dates but ideally we want somebody who can start immediately (or almost immediately) and if possible for most of October.

As for the long term, there will be a position available for an experienced residential conveyancer fora full-time position. If anyone can start immediately then there might be chance for you to “temp” for a month as a locum with a view to a more full time position.

There is quite a bit of urgency in relation to the locum position – this is more of a priority at this stage than the permanent position.
