The assignment will commence in early September and will be ongoing until they find a permanent candidate. They need someone who can handle wills & probate and residential conveyancing work. Any family experience would be ideal but is not essential.

VAC-19723 Family Locum in Lowestoft Norwich A small Suffolk firm need a family law locum to manage a privately funded caseload at their Lowestoft office. The assignment is part-time, 2 or 3 days per week as preferred, will start as early in September as possible and will run for a minimum of 3 months. Firm have also said that there is scope for some of the work to be carried out remotely from home if preferred.

VAC-19722 Conveyancing Locum in Surrey Kingston A Surrey law firm need a conveyancing locum to cover a week of annual leave at their Leatherhead office. Caseload is residential conveyancing. Assignment will be from 9th to 13th September inclusive.

VAC-19721 Wills & Probate Locum Assignment in Stockport Stockport A well established Cheshire firm needs a senior wills & probate solicitor to work a locum assignment at their Stockport office. Due to some very sad circumstances their head of wills & probate has had to take some extended leave at very short notice. They are therefore looking for someone with managerial experience and very significant experience in inheritance tax matters to fill in for him. They have other wills & probate solicitors in the department so despite being a locum role this really is for someone who can go in and manage the department and handle as well as inheritance tax matters. The assignment will commence ASAP and will last for a minimum of 1 month although they have said they think it is very likely that it will run for significantly longer. Also a genuine chance that this role could become permanent if desired depending on how things work out with the current incumbent.

Located about 500 metres from a mainline train station in the centre of town, the firm are after cover for the duration of maternity leave, but do not yet know how long this is likely to be. They can be flexible on hours and days, although you do need to be on site. Start date as soon as you are able – in the next 2-3 weeks.
