Property Litigation and General Litigation/Commercial Manager
Looking for a litigation manager/lawyer to work in house. Job spec is below.
Main criteria appear to be availability to start asap, experience of property litigation and landlord & tenant matters.
Role Title Litigation Manager (Lawyer)
To provide dispute resolution advice to the Business and in particular the Estates team to satisfy best practice, mitigate risk and control costs to ensure litigation spend is within budget. Advice to include all matters relating to landlord and tenant legislation within the UK and Code rights.
Responsible for the management and resolution of hostile and non-hostile NTQs, breaches of agreement (landlord or tenant breaches), rent review arbitrations and access issue resolution.
Required (minimum) Desired
Experience (technical, managerial, industry) Strong experience of estate property management or property dispute management.
Strong experience of dispute resolution systems (including Court processes).
Good experience of managing external suppliers.
Degree or higher in legal and/or estate management qualification and membership of one of the legal or surveyor professional groups.
MRICS /Qualified Lawyer /legal executive
Skills / Knowledge
Commercially astute
Knowledge and experience of law of property, including landlord and tenant legislation (1954 Act in particular) across the UK, telecommunications legislation (particularly Code Powers)
Computer literate, with excellent working knowledge of Excel and databases
