Register as a LocumA new vacancy has arisen with a solicitors firm based in Essex. 12 month contract available.
Firm looking to recruit a Wills & Probate solicitor to be located at our Canvey Island office on a fixed-term basis for at least twelve months commencing 1 November 2016 or as soon as possible after this. This will be to provide maternity cover. Experience of three years minimum is required. The role includes:
” Taking instructions in relation to drafting Wills for clients and all it entails.
” Providing Inheritance Tax advice.
” Providing general advice in relation to care home fees and protecting assets.
” Taking instructions in relation to probate matters dealing with application for Grant of Probate on either a fixed fee basis or dealing with entire administration of estate and all it entails.
” Making Court of Protection applications.
” Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney, acting as certificate provider where necessary and registering with Office of Public Guardian.
” Registering existing Enduring Powers of Attorney with Office of the Public Guardian.
” Dealing with assets and transfers of property where necessary and registering any restrictions required in relation to trusts.
” Severing the joint tenancy of properties where required and registering restriction.
” Administering discretionary trusts where partners appointed as trustees (this includes paying rent, making regular payments, paying care home fees, purchasing items for beneficiaries or organising holidays as and when required). Investing and withdrawing funds as and when required.
” Providing the above services to the South Woodham Ferrers office on an as and when required basis, travelling to the office to take instructions. Also providing home visits to clients where necessary.
