A multi-office law firm based in North Yorkshire is looking for an agricultural locum to help out starting as soon as you are able for a period of at least 3 months. This is to provide cover while the firm recruit permanently and you will ideally be available on a full-time basis. The role is based at the firm’s Malton offices.
You will need to be able to process the following :
- Advising landlords and tenants on the grant/renewal of Farm Business Tenancies, Agricultural Holdings Act Tenancies and Grazing Licences.
- Advising sellers and purchasers in relation to the purchase disposal of agricultural properties and/or businesses.
- Separate representation for lenders in relation to establishing security for funding requests.
- Advising clients in a range of development agreements, such as option agreements, easements and clawback agreements.
- Any ad hoc and ancillary matter relating to agricultural property.
- Raising appropriate enquiries and considering documentation.
- Drafting correspondence and documentation.
- Dealing with agents, solicitors, clients and other individuals in the transaction in an appropriate manner.
