Commercial Litigation Roles in 15th June 2021. Manchester, London and Greater London but all remote

  1. Small niche commercial law firm in Manchester looking for ad hoc commercial litigation support. “mainly HNW sport clients who have been poorly advised on investments, substantial value claims progressing through Financial Ombudsman (against reluctant IFA insurers) and separately FSCS claims (against reluctant FSCS). There is some allied litigation which is procedurally tricky and that’s probably where we need some help. Really difficult to estimate how much work though.”
  2. Small-medium sized commercial law firm in London looking for ad hoc commercial litigation support. “As for the litigation locum, yes it would be hourly-rate stuff. Very varied enquiries reflecting the diverse nature of our client bank. It’s all UK jurisdiction work. It would suit an experienced ‘all rounder’. Case size varies from a few thousand to the low millions. Debt recovery and disputes between companies are those we have mainly been involved with. We have one urgent case right now where an employee bribed a customer and had received a large bonus before he was found out. Our client is now keen to pursue damages against the now ex-employee.”
  3. A new commercial litigation vacancy has arisen with an online platform looking for ongoing litigation support from a locum. Very ad hoc work as ever! The company essentially use sub-contractors who appear to be attempting to contract directly with clients and circumvent the platform and this seems to be the main thrust of the work. I estimate the work will be up to 10 hours a week maximum and you will need to be able to provide the company with an update each week in relation to any progress or otherwise.
