A new vacancy has arisen with an In House Legal Department of large corporate finance company – private equity house – looking for an in house locum to assist on an ongoing basis. The company needs an in house solicitor able to deal with first legal charges and unilateral notices for them. Usual workflow is about 10-20 per week and they would like the locum to deal with any complex issues – eg trusts and power of attorneys – as well as supervise the more average transactions. The company has been using external solicitors and getting lawyers on secondment, but now seeking to engage a consultant to contract with them on an ongoing basis. The work will basically entail being their in house solicitor dealing with the above. Potentially long term role. The company are open to suggestions on the structure of this role, eg whether locum, on site or off site, consultancy arrangement etc.. Company is based in Olney, Bucks (near to Milton Keynes, Bedford and Northampton.
