A new vacancy has arisen with a lawyer working in the South Wales area and looking for additional remote support with commercial and corporate transactional work. He wants to develop a long term relationship with a couple of consultants who are able to handle his overflow work as and when needed. He currently has 2-3 matters he requires assistance with and anticipates that over a period of time he will be picking up ongoing work at a similar rate. During our conversation he estimated that there will be around 10 hours a week of work on average, but having worked on numerous ad hoc arrangements in recent times I suspect the hours will vary considerably from week to week. Essentially he is after a consultant to assist with commercial contracts work and another to assist with corporate work. Or, if possible, someone who does both – all work is remote and not office based. Hourly rate is going to be around the £55-£80 per hour mark we think.
Conveyancing Locum Solicitors x 4
Good afternoon. Three new conveyancing roles in today as follows:
- Portsmouth firm looking for an office based conveyancing locum for 4 weeks starting immediately and providing annual leave cover for fee earners away from the office. Residential conveyancing.
- Horsham firm in need of a locum from either the 6th or the 13th September for 2 weeks. Residential conveyancing work. Office based.
- Widnes law firm after a residential conveyancing locum from the 19th July for 3 weeks. This can be remote or in office – will need you to attend the office on the first day.
Also –
- Locum property role in Pwllheli. One of the fee earners has been taken ill unexpectedly (non-Covid) and is likely to be away from the office for at least 2-3 weeks, if not longer. The firm are in need of urgent assistance on a full or part time basis (2-3 days a week fine). Work is standard residential conveyancing work.

Malvern Commercial Property Locum
A new vacancy has arisen with a small law firm based in Malvern, Worcestershire and in need of a commercial property locum for about 3 months starting asap. The firm have indicated that the role can be office with some remote work after a period of time but it is full time hours. Any interest please let me know.
